We are dedicated to maintaining, refitting and customizing boats to our customers' specifications.  This requires a coordinated effort of many specialty marine services.  Great Island Boat Yard is large enough to create dedicated shops where crew members can be specialists and small enough to be focused on the details of every project.

Our crew is what makes us great.  We seek out craftsmen with exceptional skills and pride in their work, and we provide them with training in the most current products and boat building standards.  We have created dedicated shops with specialized tooling that allow our crew members to work with quality and efficiency.

Refits are projects that bring multiple specialty shops together to bring an older boat back to "new boat” standards of cosmetics, safety, mechanical and electrical systems.  All refits are directly managed by the owner of the yard.  We have the experience, focus and horsepower to bring these complex jobs in on budget and on schedule.  Please visit our Refit Gallery to see some examples.
