Take I-295 North to Exit 28, Brunswick.

Follow Route 1 toward Bath; exit at Cook's Corner.  

Continue straight through the light on Route 24 for six miles south.  

The Great Island Boat Yard will be on your left.  We are located approximately 40 minutes north of Portland.

By Sea

By sea Great Island Boat Yard is located at 43 degrees 49.792 N and 069 degrees 54.915 W in Orr's Cove within Quahog Bay. 

Quahog Bay is just east of Bailey and Orr's Island, accessible from the east via the lower New Meadows River or from the south in a straight line from a mark just east of Bailey Island.  

We are less than 5 miles from the Green #3 buoy located between Round Rock and Ragged Island.  With the prevailing southwest wind, sailors can sail straight up into our mooring field.

Two narrow cuts create a fully protected bay.  Orr's Cove extends to the north at the top of the bay.
