In part, the inspiration to refit this Lowell skiff was to repair and refasten the transom. Over the last 24 years, the structural integrity had slowly been compromised. Now, with a sturdy new transom, the owner’s confidence in the boat has been restored, enough so that he is also choosing to repower it with a 25 hp Yamaha outboard.
