Our riggers aren’t just topflight; they’re craftsmen too. We captured Eric whipping up a preventer eye splice for a 2007 Oyster 56 this spring. His handiwork is now fixed to the boom and will connect to a line on deck via a soft shackle. The deck line, run to the bow and back to the cockpit, will allow for easy deployment and adjustment when running downwind.
