New Service Panels | Little Harbor 62

A recent refit of a 1981 Little Harbor 62 featured the installation of a highly technical lithium-ion battery system. The project also included the addition of AC/DC service panels to accommodate the new associated voltages and equipment. Installing the new service panels allowed our team to identify, cut back, and remove 40 years’ worth of vintage and abandoned wiring. Reorganizing and replacing the wiring at the terminal strips and throughout the boat allowed the entire system to be brought up to ABYC standards. The new panels, with updated metering and LED displays, are also now equipped with remote switching capabilities for the engine, house, thruster, and windlass batteries.
