Toe Rail Restoration on an Eastbay 59

The GIBY team has begun to rehabilitate teak toe rails on an Eastbay 59. To get the project started, the carpentry crew exposed hidden bungs, pulled fasteners, and removed the rails. Then the varnishers took over – wooding, sanding and prepping each section for rebedding and refinishing. The restored rails, with ten coats of Epifanes varnish, will be better suited for life in the salt air and bright sun.
